The County Clerk's Office is responsible for maintaining the records of Scott County's legislative body, as well as collecting business taxes, maintaining motor vehicle registrations and licensing, and a variety of other civil duties. Marriage licenses, pawnbroker licenses, hunting and fishing licenses, and certain other types of licenses are issued through the clerk's office.
Patricia Phillips has served as Scott County's Court Clerk since 1998. Her office is located in the County Courthouse, at 282 Court Street in Huntsville. Business hours are 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
