Scott County General Sessions Court is in session Monday through Friday at the Scott County Justice Center in Huntsville, with the Honorable James (Jamie) L. Cotton, Jr., presiding.
General Sessions Court is responsible for arraignments and preliminary hearings in criminal cases and for various civil cases.
Judge Cotton has served as Scott County's general sessions judge since 1990. He also presides over Scott County Juvenile Court and Drug Court.
Court commences at 9 a.m. each morning. For docket information, contact the Circuit Court Clerk's office.
