Scott County Ambulance Service EMTs assist accident victims as part of a training exercise.

Emergency calls are dispatched by Scott County’s E-911 communications system and ambulance service is provided by Scott County EMS, which is managed by Scott County Government. Pioneer Community Hospital of Scott offers emergency care. Air evac services are provided by the University of Tennessee Medical Center at Knoxville’s Lifestar helicopter service and, occasionally, by Air Evac. Landing pads are located at the Scott County Hospital in Oneida and Mtn. People’s Health Council in Elgin. Designated landing zones are also located at Huntsville School, Fairview School and Brimstone Recreation.
