Trustee's office open Saturdays in February

HUNTSVILLE, Tenn. — The Scott County Trustee's Office will be open from 8 a.m. to noon each Saturday in February, Trustee Jimmy D. Byrd announced today.

Typically open 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, the Trustee's Office is extending its hours to accommodate customers who are paying their 2011 property taxes. The last day to pay taxes without penalty is Feb. 29, 2012.

"We felt like it would better serve those who are working through the week to be able to come in and pay their taxes on the weekend," Mr. Byrd said. "We hope that this will enable us to better serve taxpayers."

The Trustee's Office will be open from 8 a.m. to noon on Feb. 4, Feb. 11, Feb. 18 and Feb. 25.

The Trustee's Office is located in the Scott County Office Building.
